It is recommended that your child see a pediatric dentist by their first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth appearing. Early visits help establish good dental habits and allow the dentist to monitor your child’s oral development.

It's common for children to feel anxious. Pediatric dentists are specially trained to work with children and create a calm, supportive environment. Using positive reinforcement, offering comfort items, and scheduling visits during times when your child is typically calm can help.

At the first visit, Dr. Gentzler will conduct a gentle examination, clean your child's teeth, and discuss proper oral hygiene techniques. It’s also an opportunity for parents to ask questions about their child's oral care and development.
